Any Ipswich or Georgetown Members?

A friend of mine and I are going scouting this weekend to find a range to join and due to location are considering Georgtown and Ipswich right now.

For the most part we are interested in trap and rifle practice (AR's, big game rifles). I can get most of my indoor pistol aggressions out at Original Bob's since its 5 mins from my home, so thats not important.

Any current or previous members have any thoughts on these ranges? I have done a search but not come up with much.

I am a memeber of ipswich and on the BOD. Ipswich has a brand new rifle/pistol range with a 25 yard pistol berm and a 100 yard rifle range. All guns up to 50 BMG are welcome here, no full auto fire though. We currently have one trap field that is Mass DEP compliant and money has been approved to get our second field running and Mass DEP compliant. We will be open this thursday and sunday if you would like to come check the club out. I will also be more than happy to give you a tour any day after 5pm.

I am a long time member and BOD member at Georgetown. We have a 100yd rifle range and a trap range. Wae are always looking for more trap shooters as we are trying to get a regular Wednesday night shoot going through the winter. We have our monthly meeting/ Christmas feed tomorrow (Monday) at 8:00. Come on down! I am also home this afternoon if you want to go down to check it out in the daylight.

Thank you all for the info. Both ranges were quite nice and the folks showing me around were very accommodating. All things being almost the same, I ended up joining Georgtown for no other reason than they had more stations at the rifle range and I had to pick one.

Bob, not sure which Bob you were but I think I sat next to you at the meeting.
