Hi - I currently have an Eotech 512 and was considering getting the Eotech 3x mag for it. Although Eotech claims the two components to align correctly on a flat-top receiver, I've read that w/ the 511, 512 models, there is a .25 difference and this results in seeing a shadow through the mag from the top of the eotech. Granted you can purchase the larue riser - but this is an additional 100 bucks and makes the deal out of my price range.
