AR15 Front pin question

Ok I searched and cant find anything too convincing. I have a newer COLT AR15 Match Hbar and an OLD COLT SP1. The old one's front pin hole is alot larger then the newer model. How woulds I go about getting an upper for this bad Larry and is there a pin modification so I could use the newer upper on the old bad Larry?

But I want to go the other way. I actually found a bunch of these online but I want to put a small pin upper on a big hole lower.

Isn't that what the link points too? The upper pin hole fits inbetween the lower 'ears'. The the larger part of the pin has to be the outside and the smaller part of the pin needs to be the inside? Or do I have this completely backwards?

Used to convert large hole upper receivers with small hole lowers. --From AD

I want to put a small hole upper on a large hole lower.
