Started having FTF problems with my AICS/Badger M2008.

Replacing the cheapest and easiest things first which would be the firing pin spring, so I got a Tubbs.

Just got it today and to my surprise there are 2 springs wound differently and a small stainless washer, and absolutely no directions lol

I sent an email off to Tubbs a few minutes ago but figured I would ask in here if anyone has ever done this spring replacement.

If it was just one spring no problem, but this Tubbs is 2 springs which laid end to end is actually longer than the original spring.

No directions, no videos ..NOTHING!!

Halp!

Remove the old spring, clean everything, pin, inside bolt, check id area of the ends of spring for burrs and remove cooties it there are any with a vld countersink super light coat pin and springs with rem oil, re-install and shoot it
you will se a difference

I did that, thanks.

I was having what looked like light primer strikes, it would fire one round then every round after that wouldn't fire.

Talking to Marty at Badger and he recommended a new spring, but ya I have never taken apart the bolt and cleaned it before so I figured might as well replace something that should be replaced every now and then while it was taken apart and being cleaned. Marty also mentioned the Timney trigger causes problems in the M2008 action so I am replacing that with a 2 stage Triggertech, which I like better anyway than the Timney single stage.

pics ? and might want to look at snipershide for info. There are probably 5 people on here that know what that action is .
