Are there any clubs that are minimal on the fuddery in MV?

So, it seems every club in my general area has an indoor range (which is good) but none allow drawing from the holster, double-tap or multiple shots (what they call "combat shooting"), targets must be all the way to the backstop, etc. I'm not looking to train to be an "operator" at all, but I would think that training for a defensive shooting scenario would be allowed--or even encouraged. It seems odd that members can't practice shooting double-tap center mass at defensive engagement ranges of 10'? Anyway, any help would be appreciated.

Thanks for the feedback! I guess finding one close to home is out. I've heard good things about both ranges suggested.

BTW--I can't be the only firearms owner who wants to train like this, right?

MV being? Martha's Vineyard? Because Harvard and Hopkinton are not near MV... Or am I missing something?

I had the very same question.

It would help us help you if you told us where you live.

I'm out of Lowell. Lowell Sportsman's Club and Centralville Sportsman's Club were my first obvious choices, but their rules seem a bit extreme to me. I am not opposed to going over the border either--I'm looking for any\all suggestions.

FWIW, Harvard is not far either--30 to 45 minutes of drive time is not an issue for me, though closer would be better for obvious reasons.

Thanks again everyone for the feedback!

Westford is another option.

I've heard mixed reviews of 'fuddery' there. Not true?

Harvard is an obvious choice. I'm not familiar with the rules at Westford, but there are folks here who can answer that question. You won't like the rules at Woburn Sportsmen's in Bedford.
