Article: 'Shot-spotter' system could help Worcester, Mass. police fight crime

Fall River Shotspotter reporting fireworks as gunshots - Fall River, MA - The Herald News
ShotSpotter - the system of acoustic sensors designed to triangulate and report gunshots in real time - reported shots-fired in the neighborhood between Carver and Lenox streets around 9:18 p.m. on Sept. 28.
However, Fall River police officers later determined that fireworks had activated the system, according to a police incident report. A neighbor had also called police to report 3 gunshots, which she believed had been fired by a man she accused of threatening her earlier that day. She was relieved when police told her it was only fireworks.
