Can the president get rid of atf or is it Congress? I know its part of doj . Pam Bondi won't do anything about that organization most likely bc of her record in Florida.
 
I know trump won't do anything. Bobert from Colorado keeps trying with bills. Have to work on abolishing other things from 1930s gca and nfa

The president could abolish the agency with the stroke of a pen. They are part of the executive branch, and the president is the chief executive.

You don't think there are way more important things that have to be done first?
 
He's not gonna get rid of it but give it an enema just like the FBI and Secret Service !Also the IRS! A lot of no mind dead beats in all those places!

DHS, DOJ, FBI, goodness mine. no one can deal with redesigning all this now, and it is last of his interests.
people just too naive to see too much in trump of what he never was and simply could not possibly be, from his upbreeding.

to simplify - he ain`t your friend, palooka. his and some of common folk interests are only temporarily appear aligned, but they are not even in the same realm or universe.

he will establish more totalitarian control over all structures, will try to install his own people there, to enforce his will. in a short term it will be good.
when in next terms dems will take over, it will all continue same way, with even more abuse and more totalitarian practices.
neither side wants now to reduce amount of control nor defuse weaponized institutions, they only aim to use it more and more against one another, and mostly against the people of this country.
