Benelli MR1

Has anyone had any experience with one of these/ heard anything about them? It uses their same gas system as the M4 shotgun, which I must say is easily the fasted shooting shotgun I have ever shot. Other than walking me backwards while I fired off the 7 rnds...ok that was awesome too.

They're so new I don't think anyone has any experience them yet. They were brought up in another thread, general consensus being that it's an ugly son of a gun, but probably awesome based on Benelli's reputation.

I didn't even know this rifle existed. Any idea on the cost? Seems like they would be up against some stiff competition with people just deciding to buy an AR.

I'm reviving this necrothread to see if anyone has had any firsthand experiences with these rifles in the year since the first MR1 posts appeared on the board.

None yet - was going to use my ProDeal to get one for $799, but the financial gods have me focusing in other directions...The closest I've come is handling one and they have a great feel to them. Will be interested to see if anyone picks one up and what their impressions are using one...
