I recently had an opportunity to shoot one of these. I have to say that I enjoyed it so much, I may have to buy one! My initial thoughts were that it reminded me of the unpopular Beretta 9000s pistol. It has the same space age, polymer design. Everything seems to be rounded. The stock, the mag release, charging handle, etc. I didn't really care too much for the looks initially.
After shooting this carbine with a red dot sight, and added foregrip, I fell in love. I found it to be extremely accurate, with minimal recoil. It was very easy to manage, and follow up shots were easily made without having to re-aquire a sight picture. I did find that the 10 round magazines were a bit difficult to load, due to some serious spring pressure. This may just be because they were new. After 8 rounds, numbers 9 and 10 were very hard to load into the mag. I do like the idea of having a carbine that uses the same ammo as my carry gun. Now, where can I find one of these babies for myself?

Glasgow Grin,
If you are a MA resident you probably want to get the model that uses the same mags as the 92F pistol. That way you may be able to find pre-ban high caps to use with it. I think Beretta makes two models depending on the magazines you want to use.

Good luck. I had an opportunity to shoot one a couple of times now and they were fun.

-Cuz.

Try solving the magazine spring pressure issue with an UpLULA mag loader. It loads virtually all calibers of pistol cartridges, above 22LR and saves your fingers a lot of discomfort.

I had one (had to sell it which I still regret) and it was a very nice little carbine. I found that mine liked 147 grain bullets.
