Best place for buying/ordering parts for an AR build

I'm in the process of putting together my first AR build ( I own a POF Minute Man) , but have never built one before. Curious to where you seasoned veterans buy your components from , I have a few stripped lowers , plan on putting together a few different variations. First one is going to sort of be a budget build that I will mostly let others use while at the range. Looking to be steered in the right direction to buy parts ........

I first research what I want. It’s kinda more important TO ME than the price. After that, I just check the usual suspects (primary, BCM, Geissele, Midway, Brownels, etc. Research is half the fun.

Rooftop defense is a small business and good people. Pretty much only stocks quality stuff too.

Often times I’ll just order parts straight from the manufacturer though.

Before Sandy Hook, my main parts source was NES group buys. (My first group buy was picking up upper and lower part kits out of the trunk of a guy parked along side Walmart in the dark. Good times)

After Sandy hook you bought whatever and where ever you could find it, if the prices weren’t too outrageous.

As things settled down afterward, I decided on what I wanted, then looked at who had it in stock at a decent price. ( optics planet always say it’s in stock…but not really). If it was cheap, I bought and stocked things deep. I should never need another upper, lower, parts kit, bcg or other generic part. Black Friday was my friend.

I have maybe four good barrels unbuilt. I keep changing my mind on rails and stocks so buy them as I go.

My favorite three places to buy are Right to Bear, Aero, and Palmetto state.
