There will be a biathlon this Saturday, July 28, 2007 at Harvard Sportsmen's Club, 250 Littleton County Road, Harvard, MA.

http://www.harvardsportsmensclub.com/

http://www.hapbl.org/

Registration is from 9 to 10 a.m. Sight-in 10 a.m. Start Time 11:00 a.m. Entrance fee $15.00 non-members / $7.50 for HSC members. Juniors participate for free, open to men and women (boys and girls) of all ages 18 - 99, or 12 through 17 with parent or guardian present. Run 4 km if you hit all 10 shots and 6 km if you miss all 10 shots. Run 1 penalty loop of 200m per miss. Each lap is about 1.3 km.

For more information go to

http://pemi.org/

and click "biathlon" in the left sidebar. The races are similar. We are working on posting all info, registration etc. to the WWW. In the meantime, for more information contact Fred Beihold (508) 655-5902; <[email protected]>.

Additionally, there will be one last biathlon of the Summer Season on Saturday, August 25, 2007 as well as very informal biathlon shooting practice (0.22 caliber only, bolt-action, 5 shot clip or single feed, no scopes) at HSC at the following dates and times.

1. Tuesdays 7 p.m. at the 65-yard IPSC range on a shared basis with
general use. Shoot 50 shots prone and or standing -- July 31, August
14.

2. Tuesdays 7 p.m. at the 50 yard range on a shared basis. Shoot 50
shots prone and or standing -- August 7; 21.

3. Sunday afternoons at 4 p.m. at the 65-yd. IPSC range if available,
shared basis. Otherwise, move to the 50 yard range, shared basis --
August 5; 12.

All practice targets (paper or steel) will be placed at 50m. Plans may
change suddenly without notice, please contact me ahead of time to
make sure I'll be there. We have loaner rifles, so let me know 2 days
in advance if you need one. Practices will not be held in the rain,
but if there's a 50 percent chance of rain we'll start and see how it
goes.

It would be nice to pick up one or two more participants for the HSC
Team from these practices. Together with The Pemi we have formed the Harvard and Pemigewasset Biathlon League and are in the middle of a heated Summer Season.
