Hi, first post and if this is in the wrong section could the Mods please move.
I have a T/C 50 Cal black powder rifle that I used 15 years ago and put it into storage, pretty much forgot about the gun till my son started asking me about it.
Well after pulling it of the case and looking it over it dawns on me that the last I used the gun was for a deer hunt that never happend that morning due to weather.
We planned on going out that night, so we ( the peaple in our group ) kept them loaded.
Long story short, I never went back out and forgot to discharge that round, the gun went into storage with it in there, I know shame on me. There was no cap on the nipple while in storage or in my truck.
So fast forward to 2011, what should I do? should I put a cap on and try firing it, extract the round with my screw extracter ( never did it ) or remove the nipple, empty the old powder and put some new in threw the nipple then try firing it.
Jason.
