Blackhawk knoxx special ops buttstock

I have one on my Mossberg 500. Yes, it's perfectly okay in MA. I know a lot of people have said they dramatically reduce recoil. I'm not overly impressed with it. It's a great stock, don't get me wrong, and it does reduce recoil somewhat, but don't buy one thinking it will make a 12 ga. feel like a .22LR.

Having ripped up my shoulder (rotator cuff) some years ago, shooting 00-buck or slugs was a challenge. I installed one of these and could now shoot 00-buck or slugs all day long with no shoulder pain.

Perfectly legal (on any pump gun) and a blessing to those of us with damaged shoulders.

I have one on a Mossberg 500 and it seems to make a noticeable (positive) difference in felt recoil.

Have one on my 870 and I can attest to it's capability in reducing felt recoil. Mind you, it's still on a shotgun in the end so the recoil still exists; however, it does take a noticeable amount of the edge off. The only issues I have had are that it makes it a little more difficult to fully disassemble my 870, as a small portion of the pistol grip actually holds the back of the trigger assembly in place; and, I had a slight issue with sight picture through my ghost ring sights, rectified by the addition of a higher check rest available from blackhawk for the stock. All together I was pleased with it's addition on my pump gun.

Thanks a lot..my arms are too small for the over all lenght on rem 870..this should fix it..amazon so far has the lowest price..cheers..

Make sure you actually buy the recoil reducing model and not just the collapsing stock Blackhawk sells. Easy enough mistake if you're not paying attention

Check Remingtons LE website I am pretty sure the LA sheriffs ordered a few hundred 870's equiped with this stock.
