Well after some searching I found a nice Glock 27 I bought this past weekend. I ended up buying it at Shooters Box in Malden. I talked to Steve a few times about the gun over the phone and he told me it was pristine. I have to say it really is in good condition. The price was the same as just about all the other shops i called. I was looking for a 26, but i decided to go with the 27 based on the condition of the gun.

I snapped a couple pics. This is my frist gun but others will follow i'm sure. My next gun will be a P22. The one after that will either be a 9mm range gun or my buddy picked up a Colt Mustang .380 pre-ban while i was there. I might grab one of those come june/july if i find myself wanting to carry more in the summer.

It only came with the one mag, night sights and the glock box but steve offered to get me a 2nd mage if i wanted it at his cost. He said it was about $15.

Unfortunately this will be my only glock. The only way i will get another is if it is a FTF transfer that i am getting a really good deal on. I love the glocks but i hate over paying for pre-ban guns.

Another one lost to the dark side, and we had such high hopes for you. :)
Enjoy.

I said the same thing about 4 Glocks ago.

I had a G23 a while ago and ended up getting rid of it but recently I have been wanting a compact .45 and the G30 or G36 might fit that bill but the MA Glock prices have kept me away. I saw a few G36's and they were like $800+, just too much IMO.

( Darth Vader voice: LT1MCSS, welcome to the dark side! )

Congrats on the first one. My first pistol was a Browning Hi-power that I had high hopes for but just couldn't shoot it well. I was living in Brewer, ME at the time so Van Raymonds was the only choice local to me. They had a Gen 1 Glock 17 in the case as used and the more I picked it up, the more sense it made to me. I traded the Hi-power in on the G17 and haven't looked back. What set the hook was the day I took it to the range and started shooting it. I still had the same problem with G17 but as I proceeded thru the box the rounds started going to the center. I had one shot that the trigger break was a suprise and the sights came back to center. I looked and that was where the hole was!

Don't think too much about the prices. I too have paid stupid money for a MA-legal Glock and it still hurts me. I paid $720+ for the G29 I bought about a year ago but it was in good condition. The same pistol new in Twin Falls, ID goes for $550. There are good bargins or decent prices out there. I just bought the 3rd Glock Saturday at the gun show for $550 - a G20 that was only showing holster wear and a shock buffer/ 3.5 lb disconnector added. There are other Glocks out there for whatever purppose you want - keep your eyes open and add to the collection.

As a side note... my buddy in ID was a SIG guy and carried a P229. He knew I was a Glock guy and has shot my G17. He found a NOS G17 or a G22 ( can't remember ) that still had the copper anti-sieze lube in it for $400 or so. The SIG is gone as the carry piece ( S&W 642 is now ) but also gone as his favorite. He shoots the Glock better and so does the wife!

I think NES has a two party system. Glock haters and Glock Lovers. I AM a proud Glock Lover. Ugly as hell but they go bang every time you pull the trigger. [grin]

If i can find myself a decent 19/17 for the right price i'll grab it. I would prefer the 19. I would even consider a 22/23 but the 9mm is cheaper for range fun.

Love my G30!
Wish I had the money for a 27 as well. You just can't put the thing down, it goes bang every stinkn' time. That makes up for it's looks right there.

I used to hate Glocks, but my brother convinced me otherwise.

Read about it here.

My favorite carry gun is my Glock 29 (10mm sub-compact). It's equipped with night sights, a 3.5 lb trigger connector and a KKW barrel, and is usually packed with either Buffalo Bore 180 gr. Speer Uni Core JHPs or Corbon "PowerBall" ammo.

I carry 11 in the pistol and and two 15-round backup mags (the G20 mags fit the G29). With 41 rounds of greater-than-.357-Mag power, I believe I have the best combination of ease-of-carry and firepower.

If you're looking for a range gun go with the G17 over the G19. The longer sight radius will make it a bit easier to shoot. Heck, if the option presents itself try for a G34, or G35 if possible. The way I see it, you may have to pay a couple hundred more for it in MA, but you'll save way more than that over the life of the gun by not having to take it to the Gunsmith for work. I recently traded a Colt 1911 for a G22. I'm sure the guy thought I was crazy, but after throwing so much money into the Colt over the years I just wanted to trade it for something that would always work and I could fix anything myself. I'm one of the few who actually shoot Glocks better than I shoot a 1911. Put me squarely in the Glock lovers camp.
-Cuz.

I paid the average asking price for a G26/27 at a gun shop. The way i saw it, is that the state of Massachusetts will not make the glock MA compliant anytime soon, so as long as i take care of the fun it will be worth close to what i paid for it. At least thats what i tell myself hahahaha.

Congradulations on your first glock. My first one was a G19 and I loved it, but they can be addicting. G26, G27, G19, G32, G23, G17 G20C and a couple Sigs later and I still look for deals. It's like pedaling a bike , once you pedal a quality bike that fits you properly you won't be happy with a low budget one. I know you'll enjoy it. BRR

Well so far now i have a Glock 27 and a Sig mosquito. My next gun will be either a G19 or a Sig 229. Don't get me wrong i like S&W and if i get a revolver it will be a S&W 442 or the 1911.

I have to say my favorite multi-purpose is my G19. My youngest son (15) handles that one the best and that model is also the one I started my oldest son with when he turned of age for his LTC. I've sold or given away as many Glocks as I currently own and they always seem to leave a hole in my heart / I'm sorry I mean my safe. You can't go wrong with a nice G19

The G19 seems like it would be a good choice. Now that i have the other two my focus is on a 9mm. It will prob be a little while till i get one though. I am looking at the 3rd gen G19 or new Sig 229. Either one of those guns will be expensive.

I would also like something a little smaller than my 27 for a summer ccw. I was looking at the Colt Mustang Pocketlites. I think the seecamp is a cool little gun, but i dont like it that much for the price of it.

LT1MCSS - fell in love just looking at yours so I went out a bought a new one today. Added the Trijicon night-sights. No need for me to post pics since you're already done so. Perfect match for my G22 with Trijicons. Now all I need is an IWB holster. Hey, divorce isn't so bad after all. No need to crawl on my knees to buy anything. [rofl]

Would have bought the G36 but they had none in stock.

i got a $9 IWB holster they guy had. Its perfect for what i use it for. If i decide to carry OWB i might go with a paddle holster. I love the trijicon's. I would get a glock 23 compact but the .40 is a little to expensive to blow off at the range.

Carefull ... once you start buying them it's hard to stop :)

Started myself with a 2nd gen 17, then a 3rd gen 17 and now i've just acquired a 3rd gen 21SF and a 3rd gen 30. They're addictive :)
