Anyone know if this weapon is MA compliant? (Century arms C93 Semi-Auto Rifle, Cal. .223) (HK CLONE) I believe its just like preban century arms wasr-10 AK-47 that i currently own in MA. any ideas? this thing looks sweet.

1) Does it have more than one of these:

-Pistol Grip
-Flash Hider
-Folding or Telescoping Stock
-Bayonet Lug
-Grenade Launcher

2) If yes, what was it's date of manufacture?

If you answered "No" to 1), or the answer to 2) is "prior to 13 September, 1994"...then you're all set.

A more compact version of the CETME rifle, the C93 is chambered for the 5.56/.223 cartridge. It features a fluted chamber for reliable cycling and a roller lock bolt system and are built with a mixture of original imported parts & enough US parts ot make them 922 legal . The stock, pistol grip and forend are of impact resistant plastic. The 16.25 inch barrel is U.S. made and has a 1 in 9 twist. The receiver is U.S. made and the entire rifle is parkerized. . Barrel: 16.25”, Overall: 36.5”, Weight: 8.2 lbs. The rifle comes with 2 - 40 round mags. These are backed up by a 1 year factory warranty by Century International Arms . It does have a flash hider and a pistol grip but flash hider can be removed. MA gun laws are so hard to research. maybe I'll just have to call the state police or something like that but im sure they wont know.

To answer your question. Yes you can own any rifle with the proper license and just make it AWB compliant. PS that may be a muzzle break and not a flash hider and may just need to pin it.

Obviously, the pistol grip needs to stay on the gun.

The flash hider will need to go, and something permanently attached to the barrel threads (either a thread cap for a muzzle brake). I would talk to whomever you're ordering the rifle from (atlantic firearms?), and ask if they can do that for you.

Ok thanks for you help. if anyone knows anything else, anymore info will be helpfull,

As already mentioned the flash suppressor will need to be swapped for a permenant muzzlebrake. What has not yet been mentioned is a lot of the century G3's, CETME's, C93's have a grenade launcher on the BBL (if you see an extra set of "rings" around the barrel between the front sight and muzzle) you will need to neuter that as well...

You can also find a FFL dealer in MA or NH to receive the rifle for you and then do the conversion for $. It's not impossible. Call around.

I hate suggesting dealers here because I don't like pimping anyone over anyone else. There are several shops that will do this for you. Call and ask and get quotes. It's not tough.

Atlantic Firearms, as nice as they are to do business with, will not gunsmith anything before they send it out. They will, however, work with you to getting it to a FFL of your choice, and that FFL can work with you on getting it MA compliant.

But more importantly- have you read up on the Century C93's? Make sure this is what you want- some of Century's builds are questionable at best.

The mags will be a problem unless they are preban
I second reading up on century questionable builds is being nice. Good luck with your gun.

Don't waste your time. I have read numerous reports of people calling LE agencies who advise them to commit felonies or make them think that their legal activity is actually illegal. You might want to do it for entertainment purposes once you know all the ins and outs, but unless you have a good solid understanding of Mass. law, chances are the info the call taker provides will just confuse you. I'm not saying this to offend you either; the SJC (highest court in the state), the Attorney General and the various gun rights/anti-gun groups are confused about many of the Mass. gun laws.
