After hearing alot about the xd sub C, ive been wanting to try one out and AFS doesnt have any to try out, does anyone here have one they would let me try out? I dont mind driving somewhere in MA, i hear the trigger is excellent? I know the grip is longer than my 2 glock 26's. Its more like the size of a glock 19.

You an HSC member?

This video gives a pretty good size comparison of the G27 and XDsc .40.

If you can find one, an HK P2000SK is in the same size range.

Queen Bee, why do you have 2 G26s if I may ask? I have 4 Glocks (34,19,30,26.5), and never thought of getting 2 of the same... I guess I am looking for a good excuse! :)

No im not a member of hsc.

The reason i have. Second G26 is a couple of things, since i hear its hell of a hassle to get the frame replaced by glock cause of their mis-information, if it ever cracks i have a backup NIB glock 26, i honestly hate the newer glock slide finish, so all of my glocks have the older slick black finish which i love:) and they might be harder to get later on.

I know the technical specs on the xd vs glock through hickocks video, But i wish i knew someone who had one .

I was able to shoot a p2000sk light LEM, and as good as it felt in the hand , it flipped more than my glocks.

Im selling an XD9 4" (not sub compact) that I am selling you could try. Just don't know when I will be at the range next.

They are rarer in MA as they are not MA compliant do there aren't tons of people with then.

Id be happy to head there , im working sat but i have sunday off

Breakfast at Harvard 7:30-10:30am on Sunday morning also. Get a nice full belly and hit the ranges. What could be better. I will be helping the kitchen and hope to see you both get by the club. Not for nothing but I got an XD45 I would love to check out the 9 compact if you two are still on the firing line.

XD is the shiznit. a lot of women have problems racking the slide though. i had an XD9mm, service model (4" bbl) and traded it because i hardly shot it....

as for the differences, i like the LCI on the XD and the grip safety. other than that, no too much different that a Glock outside of the grip angle.

Update, I got to shoot WW's XD sub compact 9, and it was awesome, grip was perfect, and the trigger is one amazing thing for a striker fired gun, it still isnt my favorite for carry, my 26 will forever be that king, but god the XD made long distance shooting at 52 yards a breeze, I didn't like the reset on the trigger, and racking the slide was Sooo difficult , partially due to my cold fingers and hands im sure, it was a pain in the A**. im going to wait on buying it until weed wacker decides whether or not to sell his sub comp. and buy it from him, if he never gets to like it .

I also shot my first .45 , an M&P .45, it did hurt my hand and recoil alot, but it wasn't too bad, but weed wacker noticed my entire upper body moving with every shot vs the 9mm. so i will stick with my 9mm.

I wouldn't mind trying a glock 36, probably a XD .45 and any other .45's that are soft shooting, i still hate the 1911's so i don't want to try those :)

kenobi, ive shot a 9mm 1911, while it isnt the normal .45 1911, i hated the grip, and how it handled , the slide serations, and the overall weight of the gun. so im not saying i hate a 1911, without any knowledge of it .

and before you even think about quoting me on my previous post , make note of the caliber designation .45 when asking about what guns i want to try and which i don't.

i was just giving you a hard time. [laugh]

FYI - the grip angle of the XD is closer to a 1911 than it is to a glock. as for the "feel" - IMO, apples and oranges vs. the Glock. i pointed thouse out already.

gives kenobi a hug , :)

i plan on trying out my friend steve's full sized 45 XD and if i like it , i will probably go on the elusive hunt for the new XDM 3.8 .45 in Bi-Tone.

its sad that people are charging outrageous prices for an XDM.

as much as i have to admit , i probably won't buy a glock in 45 because of the way the glock gets even bigger than most 45's especially the massive grip of the 30/30sf, and its not worth it for me to try and hold onto that gun with a big cartridge like the 45. and with the Low bore axis i feel for me , that it would hurt my hand even more than it did on the M&P full size

im hoping with the way the XD's are higher above the hand , i'll get softer recoil , with more muzzle flip as a trade off, it will save my hands in the long run.
