Bought one of these on Monday and yesterday I got a chance to fire it. Holy shit, I have no idea how Glock is still in business. Me and my buddy were comparing this to his Gen 4 Glock 23 (which is a .40, so I wont bring up recoil or accuracy) and the Caracal had it beat in every way.

The quick sights on the Caracal are amazing. Acquiring targets takes as much time as it takes to simply point the gun at them. You know how with any standard sights you can point the gun at a target, then look at the sights and be a bit off? That doesn't happen with the Caracal. You point the gun and both sights seem to naturally align on the target.

The Caracal also has the best trigger I've ever felt on a gun. It's light and smooth with zero flaws. After dry firing this gun a few times, I was actually disgusted with the Glocks trigger. No wonder there are so many trigger kits for the Glock.

If you are thinking about getting a Glock, don't. Do yourself a favor and look into the Caracal. There are countless articles and videos putting the Caracal up against the Glock and proving that this gun completely destroys the Glock. Plus, the Caracal is about $100 cheaper... not including the $100 trigger job and $100 sight upgrade you'd probably want to do on the Glock.

Love the pics.[thinking]

J/K, I have neither one. All of my guns are non-polymer. If I ever buy another it might be poly.

Once you learn how to shoot, you wouldn't have a problem with index

Ok buddy. [laugh2]

I meant the Caracal is dead on every time you point it with no need to "learn to shoot" your particular gun. Take a Glock and point it like you're pointing your finger without TRYING to line up the sights. Then try it with the Caracal. The Caracal just points way more naturally.

However, if that comment I made is the only flaw you found in my post, I guess I was right to begin with.

What he said. Yeah the Caracal has a good track record so far, but we don't know it'll hold up over time. Glocks are known to withstand extreme temperatures, mud, water, so fourth and so on. The Caracal is more designed toward the shooter's hand though and is a competition style gun. I doubt it will ever dominate the polymer market but maybe it could someday. I will keep buying Glock though. Congrats anyways!

Yeah, that won't be caused by the stupid grip angle of the glock

No gun is dead on every time you point it at a target for every shooter. Some guns fit some shooters and not others. Maybe you got lucky. Anyone who says there is no need to "learn how to shoot" any firearm has a lot to learn.

Exactly what I thought. Pickle man, read more and post less. The Caracal looks like a nice gun... but I feel like if I buy one, it will get beat up in the safe by my Glocks.

The only argument that the pro-Glock guys can come up with is the long-term reliability, which to me is a cop out. It's made from the same materials as a Glock... polymer and steel. As far as Glocks firing in mud, water, etc. a lot of guns will fire under water, as well as covered in mud. I actually just spend ~15 minutes on YouTube and couldn't find a single video of the Glock firing covered in mud. Everyone that takes the time to stomp it into the mud or cover it in sand seems to always seems to rinse it off in water or shake it out before firing it. Not sure what the point of that was.

Glock will stay on top though for the same reason Xbox has... fanboys. If Glock being ~30 years (not very long) older is the only thing it has on the Caracal, I guess I can live with that.

As for pics... my Caracal is a run of the mill Caracal C with quicksights. Google it.

Did you notice I put that part in quotations? Or has your drinking problem progressed into a bad case of wet-brain?

What I was saying was there was no need to spend lots of time learning to line up their sights. The caracal points naturally, for all the people I've shown it to that's the first thing they commented on.

Really why the personal attacks on something that is just "YOUR" opinion?

Charles.

What type of groups are you getting at 10-15yds with those sights? How about 25yds? Doesn't seem to make much sense to shorten a sight radius on a firearm if you don't have to.... not sure I understand the logic or the selling point

EDIT: looks like our enthusiastic reviewer already got banned.... shocking[rolleyes]. Its usually a good idea if your going to be rude or an ass to at least know what you are talking about.

The Caracal isn't really a competition gun - it's in use as a military and police sidearm in several countries.

This guy got banned for lying about what gun he owned? [rofl]

What a dumb ass. Who starts a thread about a gun they don't even own, and then when people want photos, he starts making crap up? [rofl]

Haha yeah I called him out on it. I had a feeling he was feeding us bullshi*. Just google it for pictures. Wtf. He had some serious issues. Who wants to start a war against the Glock guys and gals?

He's probably a member on here just disguised as a random screen name. What a douche. Hopefully he walks into a bus today.

Maybe he just didn't have a camera.

I am having a hard time seeing what he did that was a bannable offense. I've seen much worse on here from green members.

I am a big fan of Glocks myself. I just wish they were available in Massachusetts without having to jump through hoops. So alternatives are nice.

That being said, I think I am going to buy an M&P.
