I have access to a half doxen or so out of service cell phones. Is there some organization I can send them to that will use them to help service members or their families?

i think i have seen drop boxes in Radio Shack. I am sure a quick google search will find you a place to drop them off close to where you live. there is a recycle site that lists this info.

here is worthy cause they recycle the cell phones and the money goes to the troops!!!

We had residents dropping them off at out station all the time. Verizon gives me new phones every two years. This is a great way to dispose of them.

Verizon had a collection box for the phones which were used for several causes such as abused women groups. Not sure if they still do though.

I do like the data eraser available on the Cell phones for Solders site...
