I lived in Connecticut before moving to Massachusetts many years ago and both of our states now have some of the most screwed up gun laws to be found anywhere in the country. I also know Tom Foley has only given lukewarm support to our cause and he may prove unreliable if elected at helping to reverse the tide. However, it is clear where Malloy stands and what damage he did by signing a law that instantly turned thousands of law abiding Connecticut residents into potential felons.
The best way to pay Malloy back for his actions is the vote him out of office. That would be a fitting punishment. Hopefully, the citizens of Colorado will do the same to Hickenlooper. If both Connecticut and Colorado do that it will send a strong message to politicians nationwide that giving support anti-gun laws is very bad for their political health.
So, please, get out on Tuesday and vote for Foley even if it means you have to hold your nose while doing it. You won't be alone. Given the Republican choices out there many of us are going to have to hold their noses when voting this year!
