Anyone have a web site or forum that may lead me in the right direction?

Try the Traditional Muzzleloading Association, Frontierfolk.net, or Traditional Muzzleloading Forums. I'm not sure of the exact web addresses but if you google those you should find them. I know 2 of them have forums for smoothbores, which the Cookson fowler is.Guns are made in India and imported by Middlesex Traders in New Hampshire. My recollection is that owners like them as an entry level gun, and most guys who have them end up modifying them and refinishing them to slim them down and put a more traditional finish on the wood and metal parts.
