Well, I got my custom holster from the Little Bear Holsters here in Jax. These are the same guys I told a few people to check out if they want a nice Walther PPS holster that fits.

Some info about this baby. Since I have a meal hip now, the cant is closer to 90 degrees to prevent it from pressing uncomfortably on the metal.

The color I chose is his own mixing he terms 'black cherry' and this particular design is based off of his Wicked Axe.

Will show the final pics of the wife with her carry rig. Out the door for 2 custom holsters, 1 regular belt, 1 shark skin belt and a carry pouch was about $290 w/ tax.

Looks sweet.

I'm confused though, ... are those clips positioned the way they're supposed to be when you carry? Or are they just wonky because you've been fiddling with them?

I guess I'm just wondering how it's actually positioned on your belt.

[grin]

It's positioned like that to better accommodate modern ski boots. Oopps! Wrong thread. Sorry, sorry, sorry.

These are positioned like they are to give my carry can't to be closer to 90 degree's because of my hip replacement. Before I had my hip done I could CCW fine without any discomfort, but now the new hip for some reason makes normal CCW feel 'weird' and grating if it were. Basically now the barrel of the gun doesn't press into the metal on my hip and cause extreme discomfort.

Funny guy [laugh2]

Could you post a pick with you wearing it? Just curious.

Request #2 for a photo of the rig actually being worn.

I understand the adjustment for the hip replacement comfort... but I can't picture how the gun is positioned at all.

Do you mean it's positioned like a small-of-back holster would be? Grip pointed up/barrel pointed almost horizontal?

Got the wife to model her Little Bear Holster that we picked up today. She has no real CCW clothing yet so these pics are with clothing that is very much form clinging.

And a shot of the holster exposed. Belt is also by Little Bear for CCW use and is made out of Reef Shark and the pic does it no justice.

Will get some additional pics of her holster in a bit.

She's wearing the holster way too far back behind the hip. The grip will print something fierce.

Otherwise, very nice leather. I am tempted to get some from that guy myself. His prices are competitive and his lead time is phenomenal.

Jose,

i agree it is far back, but my wifes hips right now are either front or rear, there is no 3 o'clock for her. She has a VERY petite frame (5'4 and just hit 100lbs) and if she puts it on her hip it will print how you suggest (she has nice hip curves). If you saw the pics of her in my AR Build thread you would notice she kind of has a frame of a 12 yr old boy. And in that photo she actually had a few more pounds on her.

The wife just ordered a double Mag pouch w/ Stingray leather and the belt you see is a full Reef Shark leather (got lucky, guy put on an extra 20lbs or so couldn't/didn't want to buy the belt so instead of eating the entire cost he just gave it to Crissy).

Also, though it is not mentioned on the site but he has does the combo mag. carrier and small flashlight as well.

Cant it forward and that should help.

only place she can wear right now is where it is. I know you all are trying to help and do appreciate it, but even the holster maker was thats only place she will be able to carry and have it print the least at the moment. Otherwise its like someone like BJ trying to carry a full-sized DE 50 on his in a dive suit.

Some of it IS the clothing, but since most of her clothing is tight fitting (remember, she shops in the teenager section) there is not a real lot of baggy clothing. We actually tried out several Large clothing items when she wears a small to x-small and all it did was have length, it seems that most of the styles out down here are the hourglass types.

And the pic I did show is her at an oblique type of angle with the zoom turned almost all the way up.

Remember, I can't re-iterate it enough, she is 15-20 lbs underweight
