I finally took the plunge and ordered a new CZ 527 varminter in .223. Mauser action, 24" Target crowned 1in12" heavy barrel, Turkish Walnut stock. I debated about scopes, but since it will be a Coyote gun, maybe a woodchuck or 2, under 300 yards I figured a 4-12x42mm should do. I have a 6-24x40mm if I want to go out west to p-dog town. I also have a Sightron SII 4-14x44 that I could take off my .308HB and swap them, but I doubt that will happen. I went w/ a Bushnell Trophy. I have the same scope, just 15 years older on my .22 mag A-bolt, it has been great. Still made in Japan, still has a lifetime guarantee. I picked up a 13-21" bipod. I could have gotten a .204, or .22-250, but I am geared up for .223 already and did not need a new caliber or one that burns more powder. I bet if I weren't killin' I could get 400 yards w/ 50..55gr pills. This should keep me in tune to use my .308 and be a ton o' fun. 9 more days!!! Now I need a Lightforce red lens scope mounted light! jp
