You are correct. The sights are good, but whether you buy the product depends on how much you hate the company.

(for the record, my troy sights came with my rifle, so I didn't go out of my way to spend money on them)

I ordered one, seems like a good deal to play with on a range gun. Noticed that there were other options, including refurbs for near the same price, I made sure I picked the one in 'condition; new'.
