Clean the insides with white vinegar, it may still work.
Watch out buying batteries on Amazon. Lots of counterfeits.
I have never had a Duracell battery (other than a 9Volt) that DIDN'T leak! You couldn't pay me to ever use another one...unless you're willing to also pay me to replace whatever item is ruined by the acid leak.
where are you buying your Duracell
Several years ago I purged the house of all Duracell AA and AAA batteries. With kids, I had a house full of toys. The leak rate was about 25% for anything with Duracells more than a couple of years old. I now hold a Masters in cleaning and fixing battery leak damage.
My son in law had a pack of Duracells that were dead. Brand new but defective. Just found out yesterday.
Screws on my UTG riser mount are locked on, used a few sprays let cure no luck. Anyone have any tips?

How long would you heat for so it wouldn't ruin the cheap screws?
No thread locker and the screws aren't exposed on the other side I believe they are decently shallow. How long would you heat the screws, they are quite cheap and I am worried they will become compromised.
heat until they are warm, try, heat, try repeat until it comes free
Could also try a couple sharp taps on the end of the screwdriver. I’ve had that break screws loose before too.
Contact Duracell with the battery information, take a few pix. They will get back to you in a day or two. I only purchase name brand (Duracell, Ray-O-Vac, Panasonic, Energizer) batteries- every brand has leaked at one time or another, and I've been made whole for full replacement value every time.
The soldering iron should work fine.
Don't be poor and buy something else

I was taught to always have a 4 way screwdriver and a hammer handy. If it cant be fixed with the screwdriver, hit it with the hammer. Now its broken and needs to be replaced.
