The "cover" on the sight has a built-in battery pack. You charge the cover and when it's on the sight, it recharges the sight. The 70 days figure includes 3 recharges with the cover, it's 17 days for just the sight alone.
Still cool, but explains the high runtime.

I thought Olight was garbagio? If their lights are trash do we trust their optics?
As an olight fanboi, I've never had an Olight fail. And I've had them on my primary pistols for years with thousands of rounds and daily carry.

Olights work just fine to sit in the safe and occasionally shoot/change batts

I had one of those. I loved it but it didn’t hold up. Maybe within a year it wouldn’t hold a charge. But I could have just gotten a bad one
x2. I have had the baldr s 800 Lm light laser combo for years now and it has never had any issues at all. Same conditions, thousand + rounds and EDC.

I’ve had great luck with other HF lights so I think mine was just a dud

Don't know where you're located, but D&L Shooting Supplies, in Warwick, RI, is having a pretty good sale on some sights this weekend (thru Monday).
