Deals and steals

I thought Radical was way out of favor with the NES AR gurus... no? 🤔

Geesus, they keep getting cheaper and cheaper. Is this one a deal? Or crap? [mg]
The parts are fine, but they should be retorqued / torque checked everywhere there's a fastener. Particularly the barrel nut. Good parts, iffy assembly.

That's a good deal if you need one. I got mine from Webstrauntstore a few years ago on reco of someone here. I think I got 3 for my basement tool storage and one for a spare pantry in my mudroom. Pretty sure I got 4' ones and not 3' ones.

If you take your lunch to work. . . .

I got this 2 years ago. Good stuff. It works out to $4 per container. We use even the tiny ones for leftover sauces and such.

Thanks, good deal at 35% off. The wife just bought 2 of those big Rubbermaid sets to replace ours and a set to gift.

Can confirm, those Rubbermaid storage containers are great. We tossed everything else we had and these are the only ones we have now.

Buy some cheap to-go containers to send food home with guests. Do not give them these, you will never get them back. [smile]

I'm tempted to get another set but I think my wife woudl kill me. LOL.

I wish they had a slightly taller, slightly less wide 3.2C option. Some leftovers, you toss it in and it's a casserole or a piece of lasagna or something and only takes half the container, width-wise. Meaning it's gonna slosh around. Better to have more height in that case. Hence, I still have a set of Lock n Lock for a lot of my leftovers. The 1.3c one is nice, but a smidge TOO small. It's like thye forgot Goldilocks sized containers. LOL

When I was playing road warrior 40+ weeks per year my wife was packing my meals for the week into the ARB fridge in my sedan. We tried a lot of different food containers and found these Snapware Pyrex were the best for us. I try to avoid eating/drinking out of plastic, especially reheating food in plastic, so these being Pyrex seemed like a good idea. She would bake individual portions of lasagna, chicken pot pie’s, enchiladas, etc that I would throw in the oven or microwave for lunch and dinner daily. The lids snap on tight and don’t leak even if left upside down for days. We’re going on about year 8 from the multiple sets purchased and have broken two lids and one container, the first 4 years these were used for all my travel meals all over the southwest 4-5 days per week 40+ weeks per year. She still premakes and freezes entrees in these regularly so on a busy night we can pop them in the oven and have a good meal.

I think they used to have larger sets, or I bought 4+ of this one. A good value at under $4 per container.

So we get threads every so often about work boots.
After wearing work boots daily for the last 30 years and burning through almost every brand except for the pnw boot makers, I’m a firm believer that Thorogood threads the needle best between quality, comfort, and price.
The above coupon can get you an American made, waterproof, safety toe boot for about 250 bucks.
I get about 15 months out of mine and I’m on construction sites every day.
If you’re just doing yard work I can’t see how you wouldn’t get years out them.

I used to buy those inexpensive plastic containers anytime they went on sale. Pretty much any size. I’d store them in a sterilize box in the basement until Thanksgiving or other holidays. As I cleaned up after the meal I was prefilling leftover takeaways for my guests.

One more tip. If you have this old school Pyrex containers with the snap on lids, don’t put the lids in the dishwasher or microwave. It makes them brittle and you’ll wind up replacing them often.

Do you know of any Thorogood dealers near north central ma ? I used to wear Chippewa USA made boots (non-logger heel) for the last 20+ years and now the model I wore is no longer made in the USA. I had checked the Thorogood website as they have one that looks identical but I would like to try it on before buying as I’ve found them online.

Unfortunately I don’t live out that way.
There’s a place on 44 in Raynham called right foot shoes that I’ve had good experiences with but, that’s going to be a haul for you.
Check out midwest boots return policy and see if they’ll take them back if they don’t fit right. (I think they might)
Otherwise
Is the best I’ve got.

But is there a Gibson dealer near north central ma? lol

Said hell with it and bought on Amazon as they also had free returns and it came up lower than a couple of the other authorized retailers (I’m guessing they automatically took the money off as there was no place to use a code on Amazon)

Amazon 5 tier heavy duty shelving unit on sale for $41

I have several of these loaded with ammo and canned food and they hold up well. Rated for 350 lb. per shelf. Lots of other good Black Friday deals going on right now.

[Amazon] Amazon Basics 5-Shelf Heavy Duty Storage Shelving Unit - $41.39 (was $65.99)
Good deal. 5% rewards and an additional 5% back if using an Amazon card. 5x 4 tier chrome units with leveling feet for $221. No wheels because the weight limit drops in half.

i know people laugh at anything Olight - hahaha Chinese grenade flashlight yeah ok. But this PL Turbo throws like nothing else. 66,300 candela is no joke and that hotspot beam is good for even 250-300m out. Perfect for a rifle. Just wished it had a lockout mode but whatever. Anyone else an OFan or am I the only one on this forum?

China man say go to bed with itchy butt wake up with stinky finger

Wireless earbuds. I haven’t personally used them but I have a speaker from the company and I’m happy with it. Figured I’d give them a try at $26.70, regular price is $89. Mine arrived today. They’re a little more bulky than I thought and the charging cord is pretty short but hopefully they sound decent.

that model is close enough in size and shape to a Surefire X300 that it will work in the same pistol holsters. I have many glocks, but only 2 X300s, the other glocks have Olights so they will all fit my same holsters

I used to run a TLR-1HL on the end of an AR but the spill just wasn't good for throughput at distance, nothing compared to this thrower. Tried traditional rifle lights and tape switches and didn't like that kind of wire setup at all. The switch at the end of the Olight is far superior to the rocker on the Streamlight for rifle use.

I run a lot of Olights. I carry an Arkam (sp?) daily. I have a mini on my G45 and a couple on G19x's. I've never had a failure.

Surefire X300 Ultras are nice, but the pricing is f***ing insane. I have two, but they are hard to justify.

Was much better thread when it wasn’t a discussion, post deals. If you want to talk about it, start a thread
