Reading some of the reviews, it seems that a lot of these weights arrive all scratched and dented up, no doubt happening during the delivery process.

Ya bastids! I broke down. I did get colored plates. (If this was 1968, the pigmentation choices would cause you to giggle. Black or colored. Ummmm. . . . . LOL)

I don't NEED them right this second, but if I only need 45's and a bar next year, that's $150 less I'll spend then.

But colored plates - because EVERYONE has black. It's boring.

Close enough for my purposes:

25 lb weights are actually 24.6 lbs each;

15 lb weights are 14.8 lbs;

10 lb weights are exactly 10 lb each

There will always be variance in the mass because they are not calibrated plates (Eleiko, Hansu, etc.)

I understand that, but I've also read some wonderful stories of cheap chinese weights that aren't even close to the labels. Glad to see these are right.

IMO/IME, the one from Midwest Industries is better. The one from Midwest at least has a portion that goes into the upper area where the gas key and charging handle ride. The Geissele doesn't (from what I see on that site at least). You can also remove it from the Midwest unit if you need to. I've done it, not diffcult.

I don’t own either of them, just pointing out a sale on a popular item.

Myself I have been very pleased with the BEV block. Very innovative design for locking into the barrel extension lugs using the pivot pin and by reinserting the bolt carrier minus the bolt, and it also doubles as a lower receiver block by turning it upside down and inserting it into the magwell. Also a lot cheaper than the rods.

Mine showed out for deliver in tracking, then showed that later delivery was requested. I called FedEx and they said their notes showed I requested a later delivery...

Sounds like the driver that day just didn't want to deal with it, they should deliver Thursday...we'll see.

made in German by umarex for Beretta. they make some nice air guns and other 22lr clones such as the hk mp22. I almost bought a conversion kit but let it pass by, I will have to keep my eyes peeled. should have just done so.
