I went thru the same decision-making process when I started doing USPSA 3-gun. Started out with a Mossberg 500 pump but quickly found that repeat shots were tough, after working the action. Then a casual buddy who was going thru a tough divorce and needed cash says "Hey Frank - wanna' buy a Benelli M2 Tactical for cheap cash money right now?" So five (5) new crisp $100 bills later, I had a once-fired 18 1/2" semi- with ghost ring sights, three (3) Benelli cryo chokes and a Comfortech stock (50% recoil reduction!). Found a factory extension tube (8+1 now) and spring online and I was in business. Tried the pistol grip, but didn't like the recoil. Went back to the Comfortech stock.
