Dillon 650 on FB

Asking silly money but might be able to get a real price and then send it to Dillon.
“Cleaning out the basement” show up with cash and start making offers
Its been a long time since I was in the buying stuff like this.
Last one I showed up to buy a 12g MEC loader.
Guys wife says you interested in the rest of it. We are moving and need it gone.
The guy looked up at me and says $500 and broom clean when your done.
I said Let me look….. his wife says
Hes trying to say take it all for $500
I made 5 trips and was there all day.
Large haul of lead shot, several different reloaders , all the tools, lawn mower , storage bins ectect
I ended up with 1200 lbs of lead shot , 400 lbs random lead pieces
Pieced together 2 more mec loadders
And a turret press it was ancient and took odd size dies, californian iirc . That sold qiick on my early days of ebay .
Good haul of rcbs dies .

I bet it could work out

Kind of crusty. Couple years back i bought 5 presses 3 of them were 650 with all kinds of shit with them. Didn't pay all that much for everything.

Dillon went from "Free refurb" => Free refurb for shipping fee => Flat fee refurb with advance quote for parts needing replacement.

It is not the Dillon of old.

My friend found that out not too long ago after his uncle passed away he got what was left of the reloading equipment.
If you look at how much shipping charges have increased even large corporations are having a hard time absorbing that.
I was contemplating shipping off a couple of lead presses back to Lee and take advantage of their discounted offer for replacement. Although shipping from me to them is on my wallet and the quotes I got from UPS was pretty silly.

It's not just shipping - Dillon charges for what they used to offer for free.

If you make a claim on the formerly offered lifetime warranty on anything with electronics, the honor the lifetime warranty, cancel it, and replace it with a one year warranty.

I’m sure written somewhere in their warranty claim that they’ve expressed the rights to change anything they want whenever they want. Yeah it sucks but you know what apparently they can’t afford to do it anymore they would.
I’m not too sure, but did Dillon sell out to a larger corporation?
I know ATK/ Vista Outdoors bought up so many “product lines”
Once big corporate comes in nothing is free anymore except the illusion of free.

I honestly dont know how these companies survive ?

True, but DIllon added their own fees - "flat fee" for the refurb plus "parts charge". Both used to be free.

She lowered the price to $600, which I think is still too high for the condition and the cost of getting it refurbished.

I sent her an offer but she thinks it’s already sold for $600.

She has other items listed now also
This is one of those situations
You need to show up with cash and pule stuff up and wave cash in her face.
By the looks of everything its been idle for some time and they want it empty
I dont have any play cash so im out
If I had some play money I would have been there making offers on the reloading gear and lawn mower
