Do I need to register my SBR on the portal?

You do, but the portal doesn’t accept barrel lengths of less than 16 inches.
How would you do it?
If you register as a rifle, then you need to put in a barrel length of longer than 16"
If you register as a pistol, then you've just registered something that probably violates the definition of ASW because it's most likely over 50z.

It’s a pistol (firearm) under current MA law. The current AWB tests use the Fed definition for pistol/rifle for ban compliance. FA10 uses the MA law definitions for recording things, which are different.
