Does anyone think the SR22 looks "strange"?

That is just a failed attempt by Ruger. It's nothing more than a tactical polymer stock built on the original 10/22 receiver and barrel.

Blew through about 100 rounds of skanky, sticky old ammo from my grandfather's basement today. Occasional misfire always remedied by pulling the DA trigger again, and sometimes had to push the slide into battery due to gooey wax on the casings. All in all the SR did an awesome job and ate it up!

I had one of the rifles reserved prior to their release (it was years ago). When I got to hold one in my hands I thought it was way to heavy, and I didn't want to disassemble it for cleaning (the front handguard), which I thought was unnecessary. I understand that it is a decent rifle, but I opted instead for a dedicated 22 upper, which I think was a better choice for me. At the end of the day if you like it and it does what it's supposed to do, be happy with it!

Heard today that a friend of a friend was having cycling problems with his SR22 pistol firing some "funny looking" ammo he bought. Turns out he was trying to run Colibri through it! LMFAO...

I guess I'm just weird as I have four 22 rifles and a couple handguns and just don't take any of them out. I know they are cheap to shoot and all but they just bore me. I'm really asking for it by saying this I know.

Does anyone else find it tough to run the cleaning rod in from the breech of their SR22 pistol? I worry about dinging up the ejector, etc.

Maybe time to try a bore snake. I start with a bore snake on my .45s, but only finishing with a bore brush can clean the crevices of the lands to my satisfaction. Lands seem shallower on the .22, so a snake may be sufficient?
