Ear bud recommendation

Guys the shoulder mic isn't working for me. I don't know if it's hearing loss or just not used to it but I am switching to an ear piece. I already bought a Motorola sholder mic with 3.5mm jack and am going to still utilize the shoulder mic for transmitting. I always keep the shoulder Mic on my shoulder or clipped high on my vest. So I don't want a long ear bud cable. What do you guys recommend, I hear good things about the Surefire.

I used a Motorola comport ear piece for about 8 years on the motorcycle, now have hearing loss in the left ear, so back to the speaker mic.
