Failure to feed 9mm ar pistol

Bear creek 10.5” barrel, I’m thinking I need to polish the ramp up? Any suggestions? Brand new never fired build.

What does the bolt face look like?

Check that the ejector is in perfect alignment with the extractor. Slowly charge it and look at it or if you have a borescope it’s even easier.

Is this based on a Colt mag lower or Glock? If it’s a Colt style using anything other than Colt or Metalform may be the issue.

Another thing to check is ammo type. I've noticed mine will occasionally struggle when I run 147 gr ammo...it tends to have a flatter nose and can get hung up easier.

Looks like a NFA Glock style receiver set. The wire on the upper that is used for the LRBHO may need to be adjusted to allow the mag a little more space to seat properly and align better with the chamber.

NFA set, Tacccom bolt and adjustable buffer and spring oem glock mags and 50rnd drum. Bullets are 115 blazer brass and hornidy critical defense. I’m going to try to take the LRBHO off and see if that helps.

Removing LRBHO didn’t help. I think it’s the angle on barrel extension?

Is there a 'crown' on your barrel to help feed the ammo? Can't tell by your pics. Just looked at some of my 9mm barrels and they all have a recess/crown. Good luck.

It doesn’t have a recess like that, it has a slight ramp.

Is it just me or is there something funny about your safety selector? I want mine to do that.

I was shooting with some friends yesterday and one guy had that exact same setup. NFA lower and using Glock 19 mags. He had the same malfunction and we found out the problem was he didn’t have the mag seated completely. Reseated the mag and the problem went away.

I polished the feed ramp with a felt wheel and mothers. Shiny and smoot chambering problems gone! Theresa a slight bur I could feel with a cotton swob. Polished that out and it’s money. The safety selector is in fun mode.
