Fall Turkey Hunting

Are you on private land or focusing on places like miles standish
I’m on public land but I avoid well know areas like Myles Standish because it’s a shit show. I have a State Park 2min from my house that I hunt regularly for waterfowl and deer. I also hunt a bunch of lesser known parcels in my neck of the woods.

FWIW:
Traditional advice is to find a flock, bust it up, and call them back. I have never done that and I am not a big Turkey hunter.

I have shot them with the bow while deer hunting. My preferred shot with the bow is a facing away spine shot.

This is good advice and traditional how one targets turkeys during the fall season.

The long MA archery fall turkey season is primary so deer hunters can harvest a bird if the flock happens to make their way through the hunters stand area.
I have heard of guys calling in Toms with yelps during the fall but I don't think it's a very good tactic.

I've never been a successful fall turkey hunter.. so I stopped. I just target them in the spring.
I'll waterfowl or upland hunt instead

Unfortunately, I’ve been very busy during the first split of coastal waterfowl. Planning on hitting a near by state park this week to see if I can get a fall turkey. Then I’ll hit up a central duck spot.
