Harvard steel smashers along with GT targets is hosting a falling steel match on May 14th and 15th at Harvard sportsmans club
There will be 6 stages 25-35 targets per stage
There will be 4 flights
May 14th 9am start
1pm start
May 15th 9am start
1pm start
There will be food and drinks available for purchase

Rules and Regulations
The following is a comprised list of rules and regulation regarding the falling steel competion held at Harvard sportsmans club and are subject to change under the directions of the Match Director. Please be aware of the rules and ask questions if you are not sure.
Basic Safety:
We run cold ranges at all times, there is no handling of firearms at anytime unless you are on the firing line and instructed to do so by an Range Officer or at a designated safe table.
All Firearms are to remain unloaded, free of any ammo or magazines at all times unless you are on the firing line and instructed to load by the Range Officer.
Eye and Ear protection must be worn at all times, whether shooting or not.
Firearms may be bagged or holstered
Shooters may load from their belt or the provided table.
Should a magazine be dropped during shooting, any magazine that falls to the ground is considered dead and may not be retrieved until the firearm is cleared and deemed safe by the RO, any magazine that falls on the table may be retrieved and used.
There is a 180 degree rule in effect while shooting which is to the back berm and extends to the left, right, up and down so watch your muzzle
Start Position:
Shooter will start with no more than 10 rounds in the gun except in PCC and Open unlimited division.
Shooter will be in low ready position with muzzle touching the provided table.
External safeties shall be engaged until the timer starts
Shooter shall engage targets once the timer starts and continue until finished,par time expires, ammo is expended or if the RO commands to do so. all targets must fall if a target bounces back up it is up to the RO to call it dead Once completed, shooter shall clear the firearm as instructed by RO, drop magazine, show clear chamber, slide forward and drop hammer pointed at back berm. Once clear, shooter will bag or holster firearm.
Divisions:
Stock Auto:
internal and external mods are allowed, no ported barrels, no muzzle devises, no weights or lights allowed, iron sites only.
Magazine capacity limit of 10 rounds per magazine, no limit on overall length
Open Auto:
No limitations other than 10 round capacity per magazine
Open Auto Unlimited:
No limitations on firearm or magazine capacity
PCC:
Must be a pistol caliber limited to 9mm, 40 or 45 acp
No limits on mods, sites or magazine capacity
Open revolver:
No limitations on firearm other than 08 round limit
Stock Revolver:
Iron sites only, no ported barrels or muzzle devices, 08 round limit
DQs:
In the event of a Disqualifying event, the MD shall be contacted and will make the determination if a DQ is to be issued. These actions may be but are not limited to: Accidental/ Negligent discharge, unsafe gun handling, 180 degree violation, dropped firearm or unsportsman like conduct.
Resetting of Targets:
Once the Range Officer ha s declared the range safe, all shooters except the finshing shooter and the on deck shooter shall assist in resetting of the steel targets and painting of the targets after the last shooter in the squad, anyone failing to do their part shall be warned and or asked to leave and DQ’d for unsportsmanlike conduct.
Shooting is optional, resetting is MANDATORY!!!
Pay Outs:
Payouts will be done based on the number of shooters per division, if there are 15 or more shooters in a division then the top 3 shooters will be paid out.
Also there will be random draw prize winners, once scores are posted for any errors that need to be corrected. Allow some time for our MD to process the information and for our treasurer to process and issue checks via mail.
Emergency Procedures:
Should any minor injuries occur, we have first aid kits and first responders on site.
Should a Emergency arise, we call a cease fire on all ranges and call 911, when calling 911, please state that there has been a training accident at Harvard sportsmans Club (we don’t need swat showing up if we say there was a gun shot victim)
Once the scene is cleared, we will then proceed with the competition.
