I've been looking into uppers for my sbr build and I wanted to know if I am to buy a carbine upper can I cut and rethread the barrel to the new length? Or will I need to get a smaller barrel and find a pistol length gas system?
I've been looking at some S&W uppers with the 7" quad rail and thinking of running ≈8" barrel with a primary weapons fsc556.
