Putting together a lower for the first time , I'm at the point where I'm installing the selector switch , but it seems that part of the trigger group is holding it up from lining up properly. Any suggestions?

If you push down on the hammer in the cocked position and hold it down while trying to insert the selector, do you still not have the clearance?

This might help. I used this on my first build about 2 weeks ago.

My first time, I followed the step by step video from Armslist. Very good. They take it one step at a time very slowly.
I did follow a video ..... I also figured it out this morning. The trigger is a drop in assembly, the two set screws that are on top of the assembly also have two more that go in on top of them so that they won't back out. Well when I set the first set of screws I screwed them in a bit too far , and that is why that assembly was sticking up and not allowing me to put the selector switch all the way through.
