ARs are popular for a reason.

Ya I just like being different. And I really don't care for the charging handle location. I know they're great guns or they wouldn't be as popular as they are. Why?

How do i attach pictures? do i have to be a green member?Pics or it didn't happen!![]()
Don't get me wrong, I like my AR a lot and I think direct impingement can be fine (though I think it's poorly implemented on many ARs) but I think newer designs have a lot to offer.
My concern with the newer designs is the amount of engineering that they've had. The AR has its warts, but with 50+ years of engineering, the better companies build ones that work and keep working. It is my impression that some of the newer designs don't have the bugs out yet.
I feel the same way, its not like they invented a whole new concept or anything. The newer weapons work on the same principles but move the controls to more logical places. They are like modernized AK/AR hybrids. It's true but in many cases, the other guns benefit from the advancements made with the AR and other guns, like in metallurgy. And it's not like these newer designs are doing anything that is that much of a radical leap. The SCAR, ACR, XCR and others are all just variations of many other guns that preceded them. They're all gas piston designs and those have been around for a long time. The bolts, trigger groups and op rods don't strike me as anything hugely advanced either. In the grand scheme of mechanical devices, they're all pretty simple.
Thanks a lot... you just made me drool all over my keyboardAh, that makes sense. In that case, get one of these: http://www.remingtonmilitary.com/Firearms/Sniper Rifles/RSASS.aspx
Its a 30rd pmag that has a block installed under the spring to make it 10rds. Needless to say its crazy easy to switch it over to 30 if i wanted to. They did however throw in a Blackhawk sportster soft case with it though.Did they throw in a post-ban mag with your purchase![]()
...which means you should get rid of it and take down that picture.

what? It's blocked off to 10 rounds. Re-read his post and stop being a dick.
people like you on your high horse and your rolly eyes are really f'ing annoying.
The bottom was glued shut. I steamed it to loosen the glue to make the bottom removable. I will promptly re-glue it and use a plastic welder and make it permanent to make glide happy

It doesn't impact me one way or the other. It's just not something I would be advertising on a public forum due to the associated consequences. YMMV.
It's really more annoying that the shop would knowingly do that to a paying customer.

If it has no impact on you, why post? Why bring attention to it?
Did you read what you quoted? The issue is twofold. The first being it is openly displayed. The second is the fact that the shop even offers that 'service' to unsuspecting buyers.
If it prevents someone else from making the same mistake, it's worth posting about IMO.
Did I hear someone need to join the FUDD club?
