Funny. My cold steel is on truck duty too. This = good idea!whaddya think? did i pass the audition? it's tight, the wrap, i can use it pretty aggressively with no slop. this is a cheap blade i keep handy in the truck...one never knows. anyone curious, it's 10 feet of para cord.

Did you do that?
correct me if I’m wrong that’s shark skin not Paracord
Stingray and a flat authentic material wrapped in a semi traditional fashion. Without the fancy little paper triangles and rice glue.correct me if I’m wrong that’s shark skin not Paracord
That’s some nice wrapping job. Where did you get that knife? Does it come with a sheath?
Thank you. I made it.That’s some nice wrapping job. Where did you get that knife? Does it come with a sheath?
Wow, that’s very impressive. You have any for sale?Thank you. I made it.
I believe that one had a kydex sheath. It’s been a long time so I can’t remember exactly.
No sorry. Haven’t made a knife in probably 5 years.Wow, that’s very impressive. You have any for sale?

Does the kydex sheath have retention? With the cord not being rigid, I can’t figure out how to use kydex. I wanna get a blade just like that and wrap my own, but I want kydex over leather.Thank you. I made it.

Yes, it does. I thin out some two-part epoxy with a few drops of acetone. Then I use a flux brush to paint it on. You can do a couple of coats of that.Does the kydex sheath have retention? The more coats, the stiffer it gets.
If you don’t fit it down, it goes on real goopy and you have to find a way to contend with the trips. It will also give a gloss finish that gets really yellow over overtime.
