Can anyone point me in a good direction! Down here in FL and I will be traveling to the Gulf from Ft Lauderdale in the morning.... SO? Looked up on yahoo .. but not sure of any of the places!!!!!

Are you going through Naples? Century Arms of Naples is a pretty good store that i always go to when I'm there. Good selection of rifles and pistols. they're on Airport Pulling Rd set back behind the plaza facing the road. They're near the airport and near Michelbob's Ribs...great ribs! A google search should give you the address and perhaps a web site.

I wish i knew this i was just in Naples last week..Right down the street from Michlebobs too!!!! Except we ate at Rib City on US 41 and their Ribs were great too and all Draft Beers were .25cents on Wednesday Nights!!!

It's a range and gun shop. Managed by a Cousin of the late Police Chief in Winthrop, so he's a refugee from MA.

There are lots of pawn shops down there and most sell guns. There are a number of gun shops/ranges.

Can a mass resident purchase a used handgun or long gun from a pawn shop? Does the gun have to be transferred to an FFL back in Massachusetts? I*'m going down to Florida after the New Year, and I'd like to pick up a few toys.

A C&R FFL holder can purchase either (handgun or long gun) on their C&R License if the gun qualifies.

If a non-C&R gun, you can buy a long gun in FL and bring/ship it back to yourself. Do an FA-10 upon return. For that rare non-C&R handgun that is on EOPS List and is pre-1998, it has to be shipped to a MA FFL (01) for you legally obtain it.

Be aware that FL has "waiting periods" in some counties (Southern FL mostly) UNLESS you hold a FL CCW permit.
