FNH fs2000

My FS2000 is my favorite long gun. Wait until you shoot it offhand. The trigger isn't the best, but it is a Bullpup. Everyone who has shot it loves it. If I had to pick 1 gun in 5.56, that would be the one. Congrats!

they build up inside for like 2 shots, then the door opens and it spits them all out and stays open and they just kinda plop out an inch or two from the port.
it is a great gun, the gasketed mag well kinda bothers me, but with 30 rd mags it works great

Thats sounds good .. I just ordered the aluminum charge handle also. When I bought the fs2000 it had an fnh 30 rnd mag with it but the store took it and gave me a preban 30rnd

I've got one of the judo chops sitting in my safe [smile]

Best sling you'll get for it is the Urban ERT. I also have one sitting in my safe.

Don't run it like an AR. It's not. Euro manual of arms. The gasketing has it's purpose, as does the lack of a BHO. The gun is supposed to be a contained unit, basically close to impervious to all conditions. Contrary to popular belief, you CAN run 20 rounders in it too. I like 20 rounders as a whole, so I might be a bit biased, but give them a whirl with a magpul or ranger plate on it.

You will not have problems with it.

- Orlites don't run in them, so don't **** with those shitty mags
- 10 rounders work too, just add ranger plates- I have a dozen of them for the hell of it and they work great
- it appears you have the plastic charging handle issue solved (WHERE DID YOU GET THE JUDO CHOP?? I NEED)
- trigger can be helped by a "nuetrigger." Look it up on gunbroker. $35 and it's crisp afterwards
- take MichaelJR's advise about the Urban ERT. They are great on the rifle
- the FNH rail is heavy as balls. It does allow you to put a pistol grip on the front, which is nice. But it does throw the balance off considerably
- don't worry about the shell ejection. I've never had an issue. I suppose if you shoot at the sun you might, though, but I think some idiot on youtube debunked this (yikes)
- running wolf laquer steel case rounds in it is fine, but it makes a giant mess (sealed system, keeps all of that shoot and laquer in the frame.... makes a mess for cleaning)
- it runs well with brass and steel rounds
- it has low recoil... lower than an AR
- it fits under a navy peacoat
- masterchief used one when he conquered the halos.

I just picked up an fn fs2000 without doing aany research on it. [thinking] Does anyone have any input positive or negative on it? Thank-you

The trigger is meh and I wish it had a BHO, but other than that... REALLY nice gun. I've been lusting over one for awhile, for seemingly no good reason. [laugh]

BTW when I say "meh" I mean worse than a good AR trigger... but I still think it is better than some of the shitty overweight single stage triggers you often find on shitty ARs like Stags, etc.

Ive been wanting one since I bought my ps90 but just never saw one when I finally did I knew I had to have it now I can't wait to try it out after hearing all the good feedback!

Are you guys using optics if so what are you using?

I'm using a Eotech XPS2-3 with a eotech 2x magnifier. It works well for the range, but the magnifier adds quite a bit of weight. You have to use a XPS2 or XPS3 if you want the rails space for the magnifier + BUIS's (which I haven't purchased yet... the eotech stuff can come off quickly and the mechanical sights on the rifle seem to be fine).

If I did it over again, I'd get an aimpoint with no magnifier or a eotech 552 because AA's are easily found. Granted, CR123 cells don't sell out in "battery panics" like AA's, AAA's, C's, D's etc do in times like Hurricane Sandy.

nice i have an xps2-0 and an xps3-2 laying around looks like one just found a new home!! i have 2 552 on my ar's maybe ill move some optics around

I picked up a Green one last week and hopefully will fire it next week. I didnt need it,but wanted it so I made it happen. I am going to put an Eotech 5.52 on it for an optic. Urban ERT is the next thing on my list.

I like them a lot, probably because they are completely legal under the MA AWB and dont require any molestation. Something about buying a neutered gun just doesn't feel as good to me, though it won't stop me from buying an AR in the future.

that is why I bought it ! And now after owning it I cant believe I have lived with out it[mg]

Shot mine over the weekend. What a nice shooter! Had some problems loading rounds, but it may have been an issue with the mag.

Wish I could scoop up another FN rifle (scar 17) but with these current prices, forget it.
