"Friend Request" not saved, Notification remains unchanged

Win7x64, Chrome Version 50.0.2661.94 m
I have a pending 'Friend' request that won't go away. Approve or disapprove, "save changes" appears to have no effect.

Me too. But, I'm not too smart. How do we "approve"? Jack.

Mods/admins, disregard my OP.
OEJ: Apparently there is no error when you save changes not having changed anything.
Pull down your notifications, "Incoming friend requests" then check "Check/uncheck all" - The friend request will go from grayed out to not grayed out, THEN "Save changes" had the expected effect.
