I've bought a few things from Pullman, always had a good experience there. It would be helpful if dealers would indicate whether something is for sale only to the anointed ones, but mistakes happen. If you're going to drive an hour to a gun shop, it's probably best to make a quick phone call first.

I know it's off topic and would never happen but I'd support the hell out of a shop that instituted a policy similar to what BCM did where they only sold to LE what the citizens of the state were allowed to buy.
