Google does suck, but there are better alternatives.

For a search engine, use something like startpage, duckduckgo, or... there's a new one I just learned about called presearch, but I haven't had much experience with it yet.

And, use Brave for your browser, definitely not Chrome.

And use protonmail instead of gmail.

I use Duckduckgo 99% of the time. But, it is an inferior search engine to Google, IMO. So, 1% of the time I end up going to Google when I can't find what I'm looking for...
