Got a Glock, now what?

That is not a Glock-unique problem, though.

No, but polygonal barrels seem to gunk up faster when crappy bullets are in play.

Most people equate harder cast bullets with less or no leading. That is an ignorant oversimplifcation.

I suppose it is but I've seen it go both ways, although I suppose at the time what I saw with the softer bullets also could have been due to sizing issues. Regardless, bad bullets = lead problems.

Honest question ... has anyone in this thread actually had a Glock blow up?

No they have not but I willing to bet somebody knows somebody who's uncle from Greenland, was at disney world and got in a shooting and then the next day his glock blew up on splash mountain , and the guy next to him lost all 3 eye's.

got a gen 4 glock 19. any suggestions on trigger work, modifications?
Definitely consider changing connector and trigger spring. I have a 3.5lb connector and NY spring in mine. Other combinations are not out of the question. Just Google "Glock trigger job" and find out what works for your application (range, carry, HD). Parts are cheap and the procedure is easy.

I mod the hell out of mine. That's another great thing about Glock is the abundance of aftermarket parts from various manufacturers.

Just another reason why Glock is STILL #1. [wink]
