Yes, I am aware of how it works, which is why I said "IF" the GOP maintains control of the senate, which Collins is a key part of. As of today they likely will maintain control, the GA senate races should both go to GOP.
Furthermore, even if the democrats take control of the senate, they do NOT have a filibuster proof majority. I don't know why this is so hard to understand. Without a fillibuster proof majority, they would not be able to get any gun legislation passed unless they opted to execute nuclear option 3. Which they could, but, again, it would be political suicide for them come midterms in 2022, and there is no way that Dem senators in moderate states like Kelly in Arizona are going to go along with radical votes like that.
In essence, people need to relax instead of paying .75/round for 9mm.
