Hey guys I was just wondering if there are any good gun ranges in Marlborough MA? I have been to riverside in Hudson and im thinking about joining, but wanted to see what else is out there. Thanks for any help.

I'm at Riverside and like it. Southborough, near intersection of 9 and 495, and Worcester Pistol and Rifle, off 290 just past Solomon Pond Mall, have 24 hour access to indoor pistol ranges if that's a requirement. What are you looking to do at whatever range you join?

I'd go with Harvard if I lived in that area. What are you looking for in a club? If it's anything other than shotgun, Harvard has it in spades.

I'm currently a member of Riverside, and the range is nice enough, but it sometimes feels more like a bar with a range attached than the other way around. It also only offers 25, 50, and 100 yard outdoor ranges, so by the end of this year, I think a Harvard membership will be in my future.

Where do you live, what do you want from a club.. For me its the drive

to shoot. I live about 3 miles from Riverside, i work about 1/2 mile

from it as well, real convenient drive. Harvard is at least 1/2 hour

each way, not convenient, especially in the winter.

The bar in my opinion is just there and doesn't bother me, the 2

do not conflict with each other. Stated clearly if you sit at the bar

and have a beer you WILL NOT be given the key to the indoor range.

Could you come in after having some beers elsewhere probably,

but a 24/7 range is guaranteed entrance, and not in anyway controlled.

Your choice, but i choose convenience.

Since when does Riverside have a 24/7 range? When I was a member you had to go in through the smoke-filled bar to get to the indoor range, and it was only open when the bar was open. Outdoor ranges shut down at dusk and didn't open again until 8 or 9 AM.

Another option is Hopkinton Sportsmen's right off 495. www.hsasports.com
24 hour indoor range. 100/200 yard outdoor range. Trap/skeet/sporting clays. Stocked pond. IPSC/USPSA style pistol practice most every Wednesday evening.

http://marlborofishandgame.comI am a member of MARLBORO FISH AND GAME.We just renovated the indoor 25yd rimfire range and are in the process of fixing up the outdoor rifle range, canopy over the shooting line is what's going up at the moment.

You might want to have a word with the webmaster - people who want to know what facilities are there have no idea from the website. There's an outdoor range, apparently... but I have no idea how long it is. Heck, I wouldn't have guessed that the indoor one was 25 yards if you hadn't posted it!!

ditto. How about how much fees/dues are? Are you goal or nra backed? etc etc. Your site is definitely not the easiest to figure out.

Before joining Harvard, I checked out Riverside and Worcester P&R. Riverside had decent outdoor ranges, nicer than WPR's outdoor ranges. Both pale in comparison to Harvard's outdoor ranges, though. As for indoor pistol ranges, I did not check out Riverside's (my club-member friend said it is pretty bad). WPR's indoor range actually made me think of lead poisoning (the smell was so bad). Harvard's indoor range did not make me nauseous (which is good), so I guess it gets the win there, too. But I wouldn't spend much, if any, time shooting indoors at Harvard, either.

iI think im going with Riverside. I have been there a few times with a friend and everyone has been really nice and its always quite. plus its 5mins from my house. thanks for all the input everyone... this is a big help.

Our rimfire Bullseye league starts up after Labor Day, check the indoor range door for schedule and come on down. Newbies welcome! The shotgun guys also love to show first timers on Tuesday and Thursday nights -- they shoot till 9 all year.

Sounds like it may be worth checking out.
