I've seen a bunch of post recently giving advice on checking guns in to travel to other States while flying. Got me thinking on whether the same is true on cross country trains as well. We've been thinking of taking one of those "See America" train trips where you get a sleeper/bathroom space on the train and then just enjoy it until you get to your destination. If you leave MA on a train, that you have your LTC, and your licensed at the final destination, is it as easy as checking your gun in on Amtrak or whatever the line is as you travel? Or is it more difficult than that?
We'd fly back, so that I'd have covered for the return trip. Never thought of this until recently so I'm wondering if it's even possible on a train or not.
