Hey everyone, I'm new to the forum as well as a new gun owner. But I am not new to shooting, Im a noob to the forum but I am a combat vet, and i know my guns. I was wondering if anyone had any comparisons for these two clubs, I like that they both have a 24 hour indoor pistol range as most of my shooting is pistol. but how are the long ranges? I was told both clubs had a 200-300 yard range. and i was also wondering if anyone would be willing to be a sponsor for me, I know Harvard's new members meeting is next week on thursday and i don't have a sponsor. information and possibly a sponsor would be helpful, thanks

Thank you for your service Brenton..

I cannot tell you what Westford has to offer as its been some time since I visited the club. I am an active member at Harvard. Harvard is one of the best clubs around for good reason, plenty of space and activities. I am there on Wednesday nights for USPSA practice 5-7pm. I could take the time to show you around the club at that time. I require meeting someone in person, spending time on the range with them, and making my own decision if I want to sponsor. My offer stands to do this but I cannot guarantee I will be available next Thursday but its a starting point.

I am a member of both. Westford only goes to 100 yards. If you want action pistol or long range rifle HSC is the club for you. What westford has over Harvard is a very active trap and sporting clays program. They also have a stocked trout pond and 3d archery shoots. Both are great clubs. It comes down to your interests an location.

Hi. I just received my LTC-A (no restrictions) and I'll be picking up my first handgun (Sig Pro 2022) that I have had on hold for 6 weeks! I'm planning on joining the Harvard Sportsmens Club but I do not have a sponsor. What is the best way to meet a prospective sponsor? Should I just come to one the IDPA practices held the 1st and 3rd Monday of each month? Or is there someone that would be willing to sponsor me? It's getting expensive to buy time at a public indoor range! Thanks.
