I need suggestions on a light carry semi-auto in .40 Cal. I'd love to get a Glock 27 but they're too expensive and hard to find Mass compliant models (pre Oct 1998). Under $500 and used is OK as long as it's readily available in Mass.Suggestions Please ! davemace@comcast.net[rolleyes]

Save up a little more and get a Kahr pm40. I got one in my pocket now and I love this little guy.

ETA: Either you are looking for a REALLY cool gun or we shouldn't be in the NFA section.

MIKE_MIKE: I'm a founding and Sustaining GOAL and NRA LIFE member & former Mass. instructor ! And I'll continue to complain about the "Worst in the Nation" gun laws as long as I breath. Now, what do you recommend for a .40 cal carry gun ??? Dave Mac, Cape cod

I recommend a Kahr PM40. NFA forum is for Machine-guns / SBR's/ AOW's etc.

G27s are not that hard to find at a reasonable price. You're just not looking hard enough. Summit and other internet sources have MA importable ones all the time for under $600.

I'm moving this thread to the "firearms" section, as it's in the wrong place.

You could get yourself into one of those DA/SA Smith subcompacts, what's the model...4013TSW? I paid $650 for my G27. Good luck!

I have a Glock 27 and 36 which I carry and like them both. I like the Glock 27 more for the small form factor. I tried the PPS in a .40 and it thinner then my G27. I think I would look in to a PPS.
